PanTerra is looking for a daring, young Petrophysicist - Reservoir Engineer, who would like to be exposed to the entire Petrophysics and Reservoir Engineering spectrum from petrophysics, through well test analysis to reservoir simulation.
Responsibilities
As Petrophysicist - Reservoir Engineer you will complement an interdisciplinary team of Geoscientists that provides due diligence studies, volumetric reviews and integrated reservoir studies (gas, oil and water for geothermal applications) on both clastic and carbonate rocks.
Although working in an interdisciplinary environment, you will be asked to work relatively independently providing petrophysics and reservoir engineering input whenever required. You will be coached and supported by petrophysical and reservoir engineering experts. Your workload is anticipated to be a mix of petrophysics, conventional reservoir engineering (reservoir properties, material balance, PVT, etc) and reservoir simulation (from model setup to development planning).
Requirements
We are looking for candidates with the following background:
- MSc in Petroleum Engineering or other relevant science discipline;
Basic, hands-on experience with dynamic reservoir modeling, production forecasting, reservoir performance evaluation, PVT analysis, reserves and uncertainty analysis;
Basic knowledge of standard industry-used packages (e.g. Crystal Ball, Eclipse, OFM, MBAL/Prosper).
Basic understanding, but preferably hands-on experience with petrophysical interpretation
In addition you should have:
- Well-developed inter-personal and communication skills;
The ability to work in a multi-discipline team;
Ability to develop and follow your own work plans.
